Blacklisted: Gold Club Casino and its Affiliate Program

I am a former member of the Gold Club Casino affiliate program, but have since left the program. I have repeatedly asked to be removed from all of the Gold Club Casino affiliate program email lists (most recently on 29 Nov 2013), and have repeatedly used the unsubscribe link in your newsletter. Yet, I continue to receive emails from the program and have no choice but to add them to The Online Casino Gambling Directory blacklist.

In my opinion and in my experience, this spammy behavior is a good indication that the affiliate program and the sites that it promotes are poorly-run and best, and disreputable and untrustworthy at worst.

Do yourself a favor and avoid Gold Club Casino. Instead, stick with this list of reputable online casinos.

Blacklist Updated with Eight Additional Online Casinos

The following sites have been added to The Online Casino Gambling Directory blacklist.

  • Allez Casino
  • Diamond VIP Club Casino
  • Diceland Casino
  • Grand Luxe Casino
  • Mona Casino
  • Rome Casino
  • Royal Prive Casino
  • Topaze Casino

These sites were formerly a member of the “Rome Group”, which has a history of spamming. Just recently, the “Rome Group” and its online casinos have been mired in credible accusations of shaving money due its online casino software vendor, Top Game.

And so now, the eight online casinos are “under new management”. Whatever that means. No additional details have been given.

I’ve been in this industry for over 7 years, and I know when it’s time to stay away from certain online gambling sites. Trust me on this — avoid these online casinos and stick with only the top-rated online gambling sites that aren’t surrounded with such shenanigans.

Payment Hassles at Ladbrokes

ladbrokes warning image

I provided marketing services to Ladbrokes online casino, poker, and sportsbook in 2012, and am owed approximately $65. I have been trying to get paid for over a month, and all I hear from Ladbrokes is excuse after excuse. It’s the typical “it will be paid next week”, or “it was paid last week”, or some other excuse.

I am recommending that players avoid Ladbrokes online casino, poker, and sportsbook. If a company can’t even pay invoices for such trivial amounts in a timely fashion, I can only imagine the hassles that players will have in getting paid when they win any amount and want to cash out.

Update: I was finally paid on March 4, 2013. However, given all of the hassles that I went through to get paid, my recommendation to avoid Ladbrokes stands.

Here are some alternatives to Ladbrokes.

  Bovada
50% bonus on initial deposits between $20 and $500!
Online sports betting has never been easier than with Bovada. Bet anywhere, anytime with our Mobile Betting, Live Sports Betting, and In-Play Betting odds and action. Bet on NFL Football, College Football, NBA Basketball, NHL Hockey, and more.

  OddsMaker.com
100% bonus on initial deposits between $20 and $1000!
No-download version available!
OddsMaker has many promotions.

Blacklisted: City Club, City Tower, Crown Europe online casinos + Aff Europe Affiliates

Aff Europe Affiliates is the affiliate program for City Club, City Tower and Crown Europe online casinos. Both the online gambling affiliate program and the online gambling site that it represents have been blacklisted at The Online Casino Gambling Directory for spamming.

Here’s what happened that led to the blacklisting of City Club, City Tower, and Crowne Europe and its affiliate program.

Yesterday I received a spam email from laurence@affeurope.com to robertmedl@theonlinecasinogamblingdirectory.com with subject “Offering Some Fanatstic Deals Now”. The reason that this is spam is because I have repeatedly asked not to be contacted by them (see thread below); therefore, Aff Europe is on the online casino blacklist.

I get no joy from blacklisting sites. The reason that I spend the time to keep records, follow-up, and report back is to protect affiliates and players from what I feel are poorly-run operations. It has been by experience over the past 6+ years that so goes the affiliate program, so go the sites that they promote.

Stick with the best online gambling sites, and stay away from Aff Europe Affiliates, and its online casinos City Club, City Tower and Crown Europe.

Hi Robert,

First let me apologize for an inconvenience that was caused to you. It is not our intention to harass you.

We have a team of account managers searching the internet and when they come across a site we are not present on, they send an email. They should of course be checking our database first but in some instances, in error they forget.

I have spoken to the account manager in question and have instructed him to pay more attention in future.

I will have your account closed as requested.

Please be aware however that by deleting your account you will be removed from our database and by having your email address posted on your site, you are susceptible to having people email you.

In June, you sent me this EXACT email, and I asked if you wanted me to join, and you replied in the same fashion. I told you then that I was already an affiliate.

As a result of this lack or organization on the part of the AffEurope affiliate program, and the fact that its sits do not convert with my visitors, I am requesting the following:
1) Delete my affiliate account: username = robertmedl, email = robertmedl@theonlinecasinogamblingdirectory.com
2) Remove ALL email addresses on the theonlinecasinogamblingdirectory.com domain from all of your email lists

FTP, French Firm and US DOJ Deal In the Works

According to CNN Money, there is a deal in the works that would get online poker site / ponzi scheme Full Tilt Poker back online, and perhaps even get money back into the hands of US players that got screwed out of their funds by Full Tilt Poker.

But there’s a BIG catch for US players if this deal goes through.

“American players would apply to the Department of Justice for compensation.”

Wait, what?

You read that right. The DOJ’s motives in doing this are yet to be uncovered — perhaps there is a legal requirement that they be involved in returning players’ funds due to Full Tilt Poker being declared a ponzi scheme. However, I can imagine that they also may be looking to get a little Big Brother on y’all and keep tabs on who was playing online poker.

Is it worth it to apply to the DOJ to get your funds back? That’s a decision that you’ll have to make, if it comes to that.

More wait and see to see if online poker players in the US will ever get their funds back from Full Tilt Poker.

Check Payout Delays at Doyle’s Room

11 May 2009: Received the check today and deposited in the bank. Will keep you posted if it clears. Even when it does clear, I’m not inclined to raise Doyle’s Room’s star rating above its current level of 2 (below average).

02 Apr 2009 Update: I just received an email from Jessica M., stating in part that: “I”m please to inform you that a check for $xxxxx dollars has been sent and you should be receiving it in a couple days more (5 to 8 days). The check number is xxxxx.”

Check payouts from Doyle’s Room have been delayed for 8 weeks. I’ve been in contact with Doyle’s Room in the past days and have been told that all payout requests since around January have been delayed.

Doyle’s Room moved to the Cake Poker Network about that time, and also picked up new payment processors. It was explained to me that both of these events are responsible for the delay.

Unfortunately (it was explained to me) there’s nothing that can be done to expedite anyone’s payout; they are being processed FIFO (first-in, first-out), and I was told that my check is still weeks away from arriving at my Ohio address.

To make matters worse, Doyle’s Room does not offer any electronic payout methods such as QuickTender, eWalletXpress, or Direct Deposit. Generally, payouts via these methods take days, not several weeks.

As a result of the payout delays at Doyle’s Room, the fact that they have no timeline for when this issue will be solved, and the fact that I have seen no formal communication from them about these delays, I am recommending that: (a) existing Doyle’s Room players make no additional deposits at Doyle’s Room, and (b) poker players looking to open an account on the Cake Poker Network look elsewhere, such as the 5-star rated BetUS Poker and Cake Poker.

Finally, I have reduced the star-rating for Doyle’s Room from 4 (above average) to 2 (below average).

While I have a high degree of confidence that all payments will be made, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I’ll keep you posted on their progress toward resolving this frustrating issue.
