The Mini Series of Poker gives players the chance to enjoy all the excitement of Las Vegas and compete for some custom jewelry of their own. Each day through July 5th we’ll be hosting the same tournaments as they’re running at the World Series, but at 1/100th of the price. Â Â
There’s more than $700,000 guaranteed across the Mini Series of Poker and all of the winners will receive first-place prize money and a custom Full Tilt Poker watch as a memento of their achievement.
Buy-ins range from $10 to $500 and there are satellites from just $2+$.25 or 50 Full Tilt Points, so it’s a great chance to reach players with bankrolls both big and small.
Check out the full Mini Series of Poker schedule at Full Tilt Poker.

In March, Bugsy’s Club is running a $5,000 Monthly Sit & Go League. The way it works is that $1 buy in and upwards events count 1 points for each finishing position and 1 points for each dollar won. Points are doubled in happy hour, which are held every 3 hours of every day. The $5,000 prize pool is split between 50 places with a first prize of $1,000.
So, if you like SNGs, try to climb the leaderboard at Bugsy’s Club and win some extra cash!
Bugsy’s Club accepts new players from all US States. They currently offer a 150% first-time deposit bonus on first-time deposits of between $50 and $667!

If you are not yet a member of any online poker room on the Merge Network, then head on over to G2G Poker. I have negotiated a special deal that entitles you to $3 free to try out their site and see what you think.
Just a heads-up…. many MasterCard and Visa credit cards are accepted at Interops.com — one of the few 5-star rated sites at The Online Casino Gambling Directory. Last night, I used two different Visas and a MasterCard to make deposits and they went through without a hitch.
After making a deposit at Intertops.com, you need to do a Chip Transfer to get the money into the Casino, Poker Room, or Sportsbook; you will see the Chip Transfer in the Cashier, just below the Deposit link that you just used to make the deposit. And when you want to make a withdrawal, there are a couple of options that are available; the Bank Wire works great, but there is a $30 fee that is charged by one of the banks that they use to transfer money into US bank accounts.
Playing in online poker freerolls is a way to learn how to play tournament poker. Many online poker freerolls have thousands of players, each trying to cash in the tournament. You’ll find that it will take hours in order to finish in the money in many of these online poker freerolls, but the experience you gain should help you become a better poker player.
The list of online poker freerolls linked in this blong entry is extensive, and I am adding to it all the time. It’s a current list of freerolls that should keep you busy for hours — if not days!
The Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) has issued their report on the cheating scandal at Absolute Poker (AP). For those that may not be aware, in the summer and fall of 2007, it is alledged that some AP player accounts had access to other player’s hole cards.
The KGC found that this was indeed the case. Among other findings, it found that the AP executives failed to notify the KGC within 24 hours of their becoming aware of this breach. The KGC has fined AP $500,000, required AP to pay for the full cost of the report and audit, and will require that AP be subjected to random auditing for the next two years. (View the full report here in PDF format.)
My take is that AP dropped the ball when they found out about this scandal. While I have not taken the drastic step of blacklisting AP at The Online Casino Gambling Directory, it has been given a one-star rating at my site. I recommend staying away from AP until such time as we see if they can keep their card room free from any similar scandal in the future.
After all, there are plenty of other online poker rooms where you can play — with FullTilt Poker being one of my long-time favorite sites.
